Target is expanding its active-shooter training to include hundreds of thousands of employees across the country, the company confirmed. The training was initially conducted among select leaders and security workers at Target stores but was expanded to include all stores, distribution centers, and headquarters employees starting in August.”At Target, the safety of our guests and team members is our top priority and we take a comprehensive approach to safety that includes team member training, partnerships with law enforcement and the use of technology,” Target spokesperson Jenna Reck said.Business Insider viewed a document with protocols for handling an active-shooter situation that was handed out to employees at at least one store in California in early August, just days after a deadly shooting claimed 22 lives in a Walmart in El Paso, Texas.
